The Great Basin group of artists known as the Wild Women  returned to the
Wilbur May Museum at Rancho San Rafael Park for the fourth year in a row.
Not to be confused with any others, the group began in 1993 largely due to
founding member Jimmie Benedict who wanted to establish a community of
artists in the Reno area. It has grown since then to include artists as far away as
Utah to the east and Lake Tahoe to the west. This year’s show
“ Wild Women LIVE and In COLOR” kicked off with an exhibit in The May Gallery in
Rancho San Rafael Park September 8 through November 4, 2007.

Having been a guest artist in the past, Chris was proud
to be named a Wild Women Artist this year.
